We can't deny it, school is coming faster than my latest shipment from Lilly. Every year my biggest dilema is finding the perfect bag to use for school. I'm the girl who takes the most challenging classes possible, so in other words, I carry around a stack of books, notebooks, etc that is so high, you can just see my face at the top. A majority of girls in my school carry around a purse and just carry their books, but clearly that would never work for me. So here are my latest ideas:
This new Vera Bradley Laptop Backpack is adorable! I gave this as a gift to one of my best friends and she loved it! It is actually a lot more spacious than it looks too! The smaller of the two big pockets is the perfect organization answer for all of your calculators, pens, pencils, etc. There is a laptop pocket on the other side (not pictured) and it fits most all laptops! This is definitely a great backpack, especially if you are a college student or someone who does not have a ton of books. Unfortunately, with AP classes, there's too many books and binders to be able to fit all I need in this. I hope they still have it when I'm heading off to college because I will be all over buying this! I like this new print too! It would look so cute with my uniform!
Almost every preppy girl adores Lilly. This tote is just the cutest thing! The material is perfect for lockers, practices after school when my bag sits out on a bench, and if I have to put it down on a dirty floor somewhere. The only problem with a tote is that it doesn't do any good for my shoulders. After weighing my tote last year and finding out on a day to day basis I was putting over 30 pounds on my right shoulder (always my right, I guess just out of habit), I knew the school tote needed to end before I begin to feel major pain when I am sailing.
I thought this was so classic! I lovvvvve canvas and this just looked like a cool backpack to have for school. Ideally, this would hold everything I would need for school and then some, but my mom said it would get dirty really fast. There were other colors, but they were dark and made the bag look too military for me. Considering my bag sits out at the yacht club after school everyday, I knew that this was unfortunately out of the question.
So, I went back to the truly classic backpack. I know, I know, its not the first choice for most high schoolers, but its what will work for me. Plus, its pink! I got it monogrammed and I am planning on putting a preppy scarf on it. It will fit everything without pulling my shoulder straight out of its socket. This is the signature backpack at most schools my friends go to, too. Its preppy but functional. What more do you need for a school backpack?
What's your go to school bag?
May the wind be with you,

I love my L.L. Bean boat and tote! I have two, one with an open top and one with a zipper and I just alternate them depending on the weather! I love the new Vera Bradley bag, thanks for introducing me! Have a great day! xoxo

I'm obsessed with totes. I have an adorable madras tote that I drag around whenever it's warm enough. The rest of the time I try to use my LL Bean tote or the ones that are pretty much just like them to give my abused Longchamp a break. I definitely need that Lilly tote :)
ReplyDeleteI used an LL Bean backpack in high school and everyone else either used the same one or a Northface. I thought about bringing it up to school this year but I figured I have so many totes it's not worth the space it takes up.
I really need to get a new LL Bean tote! I just tried to order one that had navy straps and kelly green stripes. So cute! But they are now sold out :[ I'm totally in the same boat you are though with the Longchamp! Its just so difficult not to throw everything in them!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you so much for reading my blog! I loved reading your post about the Etsy finds! They were so cute!
