Taylor Swift has such a way with her writing and her creativity on stage is way beyond her years. I love how I feel like I can relate to her music. Skim/Swim Sweetie (see right column of page) wants me to marry a sailor (long story) and we were bike riding one day and we are listening to "Love Story" and she goes "You'll never have to be alone. I love you and that's all I really know. I talked to your dad, go and pick out a life vest..." This is just one of the many examples! Needless to say, I love Taylor Swift! For my 16th birthday, I got tickets to see her in concert on her Fearless Tour!
We got there pretty early, so we got to see them unload everything!
Including her band!
That's her brother, Austin! He is so cute in person!
Gloriana opened up for them! They have such a great country sound to them and they sounded really fantastic live!
Next up was Kellie Pickler! She's just absolutely adorable and she sounded great!
Then it was time for....TAYLORRRR!
How adorable is she?!
The stage was incredible! It changed for every song and every song had its own skits/story. This is "Teardrops on My Guitar"
The band was also really involved and they were so much fun!
There was an interview on the screens that turned into...
A real-life version! This was the beginning of "Forever and Always." The interview was all about why she writes songs about boys and keeps their names in it. She says, "Well, maybe they shouldn't do bad things." The beginning of the song just repeated "Should'nt do bad things, Shouldn't do bad things..."
So cool!
Then Taylor got angry. And threw chairs.
Then the Acoustic songs were played! In a different spot in the crowd! Yep, I was that close! THAT CLOSE!
Then she went up on this little stage to sing "Fifteen!"
Then my favorite song started..."Love Story" <3333
The stage was gorgeous! The music video was playing on the screen and the whole effect was just amazing.
Look at that dress!
"Marry me Juliet, you'll never have to be alone. I love you and that's all I really know"
The stain glass window was beautiful! It added the perfect effect with the quick dress change!
"He is sensible and so incredible and all of my single friends are jealous." -The Way I Loved You
She did this great mix of "You're Not Sorry" and Justin Timberlake's song "What Goes Around." TV performances do not give her justice, her voice was absolutely spot on and I never knew she had such a range!
The stage was insane!
"What goes around comes back around, I thought I told you that."
This was "Picture to Burn." You felt angry just looking at the performance! It was awesome!
Miss Swift is from Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, so seeing the show in Philly was practically her hometown. In fact, our neighbor was her 6th grade teacher! We have one of her class pictures and her project on Shakespeare! Little did she know, five years later she would be writing award winning songs about Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet.
Any guesses on the song? "Today Was a Fairytale!"
Reppin' the Eagles!
And last but not least, "Shoulda Said No"
Her and her fiddle player, Katelyn, played on these drums made out of trash cans!
She would raise her hands for people to scream, lower to silent, and so on.
You may not be able to see from this picture, but that is running water with the words "NO" in it!
Dancin' in the "rain!"
Her signature!
The show was so so great! I had so much fun and it was the best birthday present ever! Taylor is so talented and her new album is so awesome!
If you have the opportunity, definitely go to this concert. You won't regret it! People of all ages had a ball, not just the teenage girls. I went with girls who are in their 20s and they had a blast!
Did you see Taylor in concert ever? What's your favorite concert you've been to?
May the wind be with you,
The Sailor in Pink OoXx
Happy Birthday! I would love to see Taylor in concert - it looks like a great show!
