Port of Call: Muir Woods

Muir Woods is this beautiful park right outside of San Francisco that is filled with all redwoods. It is one of the only places in the entire world that has so many because people were cutting them down for so long, but Mr. Muir, who was one of the original "go-greeners" bought this land and kept these trees. To this day, they stand tall and beautiful!
Sorry the sign isn't all there! We were driving!

These are the moments where you just can't help feeling small

Muir Woods had tons of trails to walk on that stretched for a few miles and they were all natural and the bridges looked like the earth practically grew them herself. This is a place everyone must see for sure.

Port of Call: San Francisco

San Francisco was beyond words! It was everything I always imagined it would be, and then some. We stayed in this beautiful hotel on the 26th floor that looked over Chinatown. Here's the pictures from the trip:
The view from the Coit Tower's trail

Chinatown at the top of the hill!

Another church we lit candles for my aunt in

We went shopping here for chopsticks for our new house!

Wouldn't you love to bike down these streets?
These hills actually make exploring more physical, which we loved since we didn't go to the gym that morning!

Coit Tower! The tallest tower in all of San Fran!

View of San Fran from the hike up to Coit

This was just chilling in a tree on the Coit path. Parrots even in San Francisco. This actually surprised us!

Alcatraz! The famous prison of some of the biggest criminals in history, including Al Capone. It was closed down after someone escaped with a plastic spoon. Some people just have a scary, creative mind.

Skyline from Coit tower!

Golden Gate!

The famous Telegraph Hill!

St. Peter's Church

The Cable Car Museum!

This is how all of the cable cars in San Francisco run! How crazy is that!

Inside a cable car

Only in San Fransisco
Our Cable Car trips :]

going down to Schooner's Wharf
going down Lombard Street! It is the most crooked street in the world! All of those cars are on a single road!

Another view :] That tower in the back is Coit!

Schooner's Wharf!
Where the hippie movement started!

Golden Gate park!
The Painted Ladies! Yes, these are the houses from Full House!

The Golden Gate from Presidio Park!

Good bye, San Francisco. Next stop: Muir Woods!

Port of Call: Hearst Castle and Big Sur

Next on our road trip, we find ourselves at Hearst Castle. Its a castle that this guy built with all of his own money. Its gorgeous! It  reminds me of the Newport mansions, but it had a different feel to it at the same time.

This dock was built just so things could get imported and delivered straight to his construction area.

This was the beautiful outside of the castle. The landscaping was incredible!

This was the actual castle!

The view from the property. Can't deny that this guy had really great taste in location

The beautiful California coast!

This was called Elephant Seal Beach! Check out all the seals!

Aren't they adorable!

A little sing-a-long

wouldn't you love to live in this town?

This is the beginning of the crazy, cliff driving

The scary thing is, this was the safest driving part, and the only part with a guard rail!

Notice the smashes into the guard rail? Beachy Mama was freaking out over this. "Someone has definitely gone over that!"

notice the background of this, yes, there is no guard rail there

Like I said, the natural landscape was beautiful!

The famous scene of Big Sur!

This was Carmel-by-the-Sea, which was the town whose mayor at one point was Clint Eastwood. This was him farm house's sheep pasture.

Carmel's mission

This was the sailing shop! Loved it!

The gorgeous downtown of Carmel-by-the-Sea, which reminded me of something out of the pages of
Harry Potter!

Next on our trip: San Francisco!
